Benefect Corp., a part of ICP Building Solutions Group’s Environmental Restoration division, are the creators of the world’s first and only authentically botanical disinfectant. Benefect Botanical Disinfectant was the first government registered hospital disinfectant with no human health or environmental hazards. Benefect’s line of botanical cleaners and disinfectants are used primarily in the disaster restoration industry for mould remediation, water damage repair & biohazard clean-up. We completed our B Corporation Certification in the fall of 2018 with a verified score of 92.3.

Benefect was acquired by ICP Building Solutions Group in the spring of 2019, and with the acquisition, Benefect began the process of recertification as a B Corporation Certification late in 2019. Benefect’s B Corporation verified score prior to beginning the recertification phase was 92.3. Benefect began the recertification process early in 2020 with an unverified score of 128.3. Benefect is currently working through the recertification process with the B Lab team and we are hoping to have a verified score after recertification of at least 109 to match our previous goals. B Lab is a strategic priority for Benefect to continue to enhance awareness of our brand as a leader in this space and in our market.

Benefect has recently progressed from GRI reporting to B Lab – and obtained our B Corp Certification with a verified score of 92.3. B Lab is a strategic priority for Benefect to enhance awareness of our brand as a leader in this space in our market. We are proudly & eagerly sharing our awesome B Lab Impact Assessment score with our staff, suppliers & customers. And because B Corp has done such a great job of promoting their certification brand, this is likely to have a significant positive impact on our brand, business & sales. Our goal for 2019-2020 is to increase our score to 109 through revisiting the assessment process and updating our responses.
